DUSTIN BIRD CELEBRATES THE GREAT WHITE NORTH WITH RELEASE OF "CANADIAN MADE"
June 30, 2023 (Toronto, ON) - Today, Canadian country artist and producer Dustin Bird proudly displays his love for his home country with the release of patriotic anthem "Canadian Made." Released just in time for the long weekend, the catchy summer track celebrates the unique characteristics that define the culture of the Great White North - we grow up with our toques on / ‘fore ya walk you crawl with snow boots on / learn to drive over black ice / better take it slow where the Moose run.

Making a name for himself as one of the most unique creatives in today’s country sphere, "Canadian Made" pushes the boundaries of today’s pop infused country with unexpected hints of soulful R&B and dance production.
On the release, Dustin shares: "Being Canadian is pretty great! Maple syrup, Canadian whiskey, bacon, beauty that stretches incompressible lengths. A couple of my songwriter friends and I started thinking about how we could create something to celebrate the uniqueness that makes Canadians distinctively Canadian. I hope you agree we captured that pride in an anthem that, like me, is Canadian Made!”
“Canadian Made” follows Dustin’s dance-country release “The Love I Like,” and his high energy pop country anthem "Heart of It," which defined the genre-mashing nature of his new collection of music.
Over the last year, Dustin has continued to rapidly grow his online following with viral content, and incredible DSP support - garnering over 3.5 million streams to date and finding his music featured on editorial playlists across platforms. His self-produced debut album Unscripted, debuted in the Top 10 on the iTunes Canadian Country chart, and he went on to be nominated for multiple awards include the CMAOntario's Rising Star, the Indie Award’s Country Artist of the Year, and won Ontario Independent Recording Artist at the London Music Awards. It also led to some notable internationally radio play with Top 40 single in Australia with "Every Little Town” and its video put in rotation on CMT Australia.
As a performer with a natural love for entertaining an audience, Dustin Bird has played major festivals such as Boots and Hearts, Havelock Jamboree, Kempenfest and more. He has opened for major Canadian acts such as Tyler Shaw, Tim Hicks, Jess Moskaluke and The Washboard Union, among others.
